INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Twenty percent of Americans deal with mental health issues every year. When those suffering do not seek out help, it can have seriously detrimental effects on their lives. We offer a wide range of mental health interventions and can help you find the solution that is right for you. There is no one-size-fits-all answer for patients. We can work with you to customize your therapeutic options, including non-medication interventions such as psychoanalysis, family therapy, and more. Psychotherapy takes a medication-free approach to mental wellness and serves as the foundation of mental health treatment. As a practice, psychotherapy centers itself on empathy and working closely with the patient. In a session, the patient and therapist assess the patient's difficulties and develop life-changing strategies for dealing with these issues. Typically, psychotherapy is patient-driven and, as such, unique to each patient. Individual therapy is called psychotherapy, psychosocial therapy, talk therapy, and counseling. During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Psychotherapy helps you know how to control your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.
FAMILY THERAPY
Family means many things to many different people. As such, family therapy takes many forms. Divorced co-parents may want family therapy, or an extended family of multiple generations may benefit. The group learns to work together and with new tools for building proper support and connection throughout the family unit. What Happens in Family Therapy? The first appointment in family therapy is typically when the therapist gets to know the family. They will ask questions about the nature and dynamic of the various relationships in the family, and the family will share their reasons for coming to therapy. In the case of acute crises, a therapist will offer immediate intervention. In many cases, a family will need treatment regularly; however, family therapy does not typically take as many sessions as one-on-one therapy might. Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy where family members resolve conflicts and improve communication among one another. Like individual psychotherapy, family members learn valuable skills, and the intention is to help improve a current imbalance due to a stressor(s). .
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples who want to work on their relationship and their roles can benefit from couples’ therapy. This therapeutic approach may include sessions attended by both parties and individual sessions for each couple's members. Those who qualify for couples’ therapy are not limited to married couples; anyone in a relationship or domestic partnership can benefit from couples’ therapy. Do We Need Couples Therapy? Any team can benefit from couple’s therapy, even happy ones. Couples therapy is not the last stop on the road to divorce or separation, as many thinks. While it can serve as an intervention during a crisis, it can also be a great way to deepen and enhance a connection and serve as a preventative measure against future difficulties. Couples therapy is also a good option for families dealing with mental illness in one member of the couple, giving the partner the tools, they need to support their partner.
GROUP THERAPY
Our psychologist and counseling group therapy offer group therapy where individuals with similar situations work on a common concern/issue in an environment known as a “safe zone.” There is no judgment in this environment, as all participants are enrolled working towards the same common goal. Participants can sometimes be encouraged to share personal histories to strengthen bonds between members and utilize each other’s experiences as guides for learning and growing. All group members are encouraged to form relationships and work towards bettering themselves with comparison to admission. Many different therapy groups can range in size, topics, and length of time. Some of the more well-known therapy groups include NA (Narcotics Anonymous), AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), OA (Over-Eater’s Anonymous). In Behavior Mind Wellness (BMW), we have our on-site therapy groups of 12 sessions, addressing additional topics such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief/loss, PTSD, and coping skills. Our groups are typically 12 to 16 participants. When it is a patient's necessity, in BMW, we use group therapy in conjunction with other modalities (individual, couples, or family therapy).

ERICKSONIAN'S HYPNOSIS
In psychology, hypnosis is referred to as hypnotherapy and is uses for several purposes, including reducing mental health symptoms, weight loss, and treating pain. Hypnosis is usually performed by a trained therapist who utilizes visualization and verbal repetition to induce a hypnotic state. Hypnosis is a trance-like mental state in which people experience increased attention, concentration, and suggestibility. While hypnosis is often described as a sleep-like state, it is better expressed as a state of focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid fantasies. People in a hypnotic state often seem sleepy and zoned out, but they are in a state of hyper-awareness in reality. Hypnosis is a therapeutic technique in which clinicians make suggestions to individuals who have undergone a procedure designed to relax and focus their minds. Although hypnosis has been controversial, most clinicians now agree it can be a powerful, effective therapeutic technique for a wide range of conditions, including pain, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Overweight and obesity are abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that can be harmful to health. Body mass index (BMI) is a simple indicator of the relationship between weight and size used to identify overweight and obesity in adults. It is calculated by dividing a person's weight in kilos by the square of their size meters (kg/m2). How do I know if I have Obesity or Overweight? A Body Mass Index (BMI) equal to or greater than 25-30 determines overweight. BMI equal to or greater than 30-35- Type 1 Obesity BMI similar to or greater than 35-40- Obesity Type 2 BMI greater than 40 or more Type 3 Obesity BMI provides the most useful measure of overweight and obesity in the population, as it is the same for both sexes and adults of all ages.
